Clare Ward
Senior VICE PRESIDENT

Experience
Clare worked for the American Psychiatric Association on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and at the New York State Psychiatric Institute before starting her career in development with the American Heart Association in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Clare served as the American Heart Association's Executive Director from 1998 - 2002.

In 2002, Clare moved to Columbus to begin working at Nationwide Children's Hospital, where she served as their Senior Director of Planned Giving.  In 2005, she became the Vice President of Constituent Giving for the Hospital, leading a team in raising major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations.  She played a pivotal role with the senior foundation leadership team in the Hospital's Change Their Tomorrow capital campaign.  The Change Their Tomorrow campaign has raised over $300 million to advance the mission of Nationwide Children's Hospital.

In August of 2011, Clare moved to Naples Florida and formed Ward Philanthropic Consultants.  She currently serves as Cramer & Associates Senior Vice President, spearheading the firm's efforts in Southern Florida to assist non-profits, in particular health care institutions, in best practices.

    • Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Barnard College, Columbia University.
